Hi! I'm Marisa, I’m a photographer with a serious believer in Y.O.L.O (you only live once) . I am a sun lover, an adventure seeker, and will always be down to take a last minute trip absolutely anywhere. I love traveling and taking my camera with me everywhere.
When I'm not out on the open road or a trip, you'll find me with my husband and twins, Oliver and Macy, cruising our hood in Venice Beach on our bikes.
As an Anthropology major from UCSC and a Masters in International Development from UCL in England, I approach my subjects from a personal level first. I love storytelling, experiencing people’s beliefs or cultures, and being submerged in somewhere I’ve never been before.
I also created a personal project on Grief and Trauma after my mom was murdered in 2015 over at A Letter To You Project
